Bold predictions for Texas A&M football in 2024: Ags win at least three of the big home games

The story of the 2024 schedule is the four huge home games on the Aggies' slate. The first is the Notre Dame game this weekend. Then, Missouri comes to town—likely as a top-10 team—in early October. LSU rolls in at the end of that month, and the Aggies close the season out in the Lone Star Showdown being renewed at Kyle.

If the Aggies win the games they are supposed to and go .500 in those home games, they are solidly in playoff contention. Full stop. However, if they win three of them, they are in contention for the SEC championship—and possibly the top seed.

I think the Aggies can win three of these four games. The first and the last one, as things stand right now, are the toughest from a numbers perspective, but get this one across the goal line against the Irish, and the world is your oyster.

People are not really talking about the fact that the Ags are currently favored against the Irish. That may beggar belief to some people, but it's true. If that is a well-founded perception, then we could be looking at an undefeated Aggie team headed into the final week of the season. Imagine the atmosphere if that came to pass.
