Texas A&M baseball players who need to step up to deliver a championship: Jace LaViolette

The Aggies’ brightest star has delivered time and time again this season, and it has all led up until this moment. Whether drawing a walk with a disciplined at bat, smacking unbelievably long home runs, or making clutch catches in the outfield, Jace really can do it all.

Especially absent Braden Montgomery, LaViolette’s performance will be key to determining the outcome of this series. Tennessee can hit something serious up and down their lineup, so he will have to match—if not exceed—what they roll out at the plate.

The Ags have the better arms, so they need guys like Jace to step up on offense. He’s showed up in big spots all year, though, so I have all the confidence in the world that he can give this Texas A&M baseball team his best stuff yet on the biggest stage yet.

He’ll be battling through injury in this series after apparently tweaking his hamstring against Kentucky two games ago, but he was able to play effectively against Florida on Wednesday even so. He’s the best player on the field when he’s at 100%, and the Aggies will need every bit of what he’s got if they hope to win this series.
