Three things Mike Elko has to get this Texas A&M football team to do to win 10+ games in 2024
As the Texas A&M football season draws ever closer, the excitement is growing around this program. With the team locked in for the upcoming year now that the portal has closed, this lineup has the chance to be pretty special for the Aggies—and in Mike Elko's first year, a big number in the win column would go a long way.
This team certainly has the opportunity to put up such a number. In the new playoff setup of 12 teams, too, getting to 10 wins in the SEC—depending on who they are—could be the bar to clear to make the CFP. With the way the talent is coming together in this group, and how good we think the coaching is that's bringing it all together, I think Texas A&M football certainly has the potential to do so.
Of course, in big time college football, a lot of things have to go right for you to do this, but I think the Aggies already have a few things that have broken their way. Namely, not having to face Alabama or Georgia is a big help for the Ags.
What else has to go right for Texas A&M football to put up 10 or more wins, though? What does Mike Elko have to get this team to do to get to double-digits in the win column for the first time since 2012? Here are three things that will be key to accomplishing that goal.
