Three things Mike Elko must do for Texas A&M football to win 10 or more games in 2024

If Texas A&M football wants to succeed in 2024, the head man has to make sure these three things happen.

What Texas A&M football needs for 10 wins: #2 - Make life tough on visitors

For whatever you want to say about Jimbo Fisher, one thing he did a good job of was turning Kyle Field back into an intimidating venue for highly-ranked opponents. Under Kevin Sumlin, the Aggies lost far too many games at home; but Jimbo had a stellar record in huge games at Kyle, beating LSU, Alabama, Auburn, and other big names regularly.

There are many changes that need to be made in this program, but hopefully this is one thing that Elko can continue. This is especially true for this upcoming season. In large part, Texas A&M football's 2024 season will be determined by four huge home games: the opener against Notre Dame, the first home conference game against Missouri, and rivalry bouts against LSU and Texas.

The road slate pales in comparison to these four big games. If Elko can get this team to go even .500 in these contests, then 10-2 seems like a much more possible outcome than it did before. Win three out of four, and this Aggie team could find themselves in Atlanta in December.
