Three things Mike Elko must do for Texas A&M football to win 10 or more games in 2024

If Texas A&M football wants to succeed in 2024, the head man has to make sure these three things happen.

What Texas A&M football needs for 10 wins: #3 - Unlock Bryce Anderson

One of the first things my mind jumped to when Elko was hired was how much of an impact he will have on the development of Bryce Anderson. Ever since Anderson stepped on campus, he's had high expectations, and while he has shown flashes of brilliance, I can't help but feel there's more there for him.

I think Elko's addition will be huge for Anderson. The former Aggie DC personally got involved in the head-to-head recruiting win over LSU and Texas, and I think playing in this system will accentuate Anderson's considerable talents in a big way. In particular, I think we'll see more plays like this one:

Anderson is primed for a breakout under Elko. There's a lot that needs to be done on the defensive side of the ball, including remedying what was a horrible defense against the deep ball in 2023, but this may be one of the most key things. An intimidating, uber-athletic DB playing that safety spot in Elko's defense will be key to re-creating the wrecking crew for Elko's first year.
