Tracking where every UDFA for Texas A&M football signs after 2024 NFL Draft
Tracking UDFA signings for Texas A&M football after the conclusion of the 2024 NFL Draft
The 2024 NFL Draft has drawn to a close after three days, and Texas A&M football ended up with four players drafted. This is about what was expected for the Aggies, though really only two guys—Edgerrin Cooper and McKinnley Jackson—seemed like absolute locks to hear their names called by a team over these past three days.
As it ended up unfolding, though, the Ags had two more players drafted in Ainias Smith and Layden Robinson. Smith was the latest pick for the Aggies, coming in the middle of the fifth round. Both Robinson and the aforementioned McKinnley Jackson ended up going pretty far ahead of where they had been mocked, meaning there wre some teams who ended up far higher on them than the consensus.
However, there were still a couple of draft hopefuls for the Aggies that did not end up hearing their names called. Demani Richardson was the other Aggie player who stood a decent shot of getting drafted, but things didn't pan out that way for #26.
Of course, once the draft concludes, teams can agree to terms with players as undrafted free agents, or UDFAs. Players therefore have a bit more freedom to choose a situation that is most beneficial to them, so some have made the case that this outcome is slightly better than being a seventh-round selection.
So, who are the UDFAs for Texas A&M football? Where have they signed? We will update the list below as more news comes in.
S Demani Richardson - signed with the Carolina Panthers
CB Josh DeBerry - signed with the Dallas Cowboys.
No other Aggies, such as Max Wright, have signed UDFA deals yet. It's possible none will, but this article will remain updated with any player who does.
