Trap games for every SEC team - Alabama Crimson Tide

The schedule makers didn’t do Alabama any favors in this regard. I like the idea of changing up the recent pattern of low-rent opponents right before rivalry weekend, but this is a big time test for the Tide ahead of one of the biggest rivalries in the sport.

Even with DeBoer in charge now rather than Saban, the cache that the Tide bring is hard to deny. You’ll still be getting every team’s best shot. OU, though I think they may struggle in this first year, is still a very talented squad—and they’ll have a week to prepare, as their second bye comes right before this matchup.

For whatever you can say about Oklahoma’s home environment, too, you can bet that they will be as loud as they’ve ever been up there in Norman for this one. Alabama is a name brand among name brands, and Sooner fans from near and far will be flocking to the homeland for this matchup.

OU has a lot of talent on defense and a lot of potential on offense. If things come together for them in this, their final home game of the year, it could spell bad news for the Tide.
