Trap games for every SEC team - Oklahoma Sooners

Honestly, if I had to pick one of the games on this list in which I am the most confident of an upset, it might be this one. This is a matchup replete with underrated storylines that should give the Gamecocks plenty of motivation, and one that comes at a very bad time for the home team in the Sooners.

Right between Red River and a trip to Oxford, Mississippi, the Sooners will host the Gamecocks. I think every fan in Crimson and Cream has this chalked up as a W without giving it much thought. However, maybe they should look just a little bit closer.

Brent Venables obviously has a long history with the Gamecocks, and Carolina has no love lost for him (despite his very respectful answer at SEC Media Days). Then, you have the homecoming dimension of this matchup as Shane Beamer returns to Norman. You can bet he’ll be motivated to put a good showing out there for the Gamecocks.

Plus, this is an easy Gamecock team to overlook. Dylan Stewart, Nyck Harbor, LaNorris Sellers, Rocket Sanders—these are all extremely skilled players that some teams may be overlooking when they consider their matchup with USC. This could be a perfect storm for the Gamecocks, and a real “welcome to the SEC” moment for the Sooners.
