Predicting Texas A&M football's starting lineup - TE: Donovan Green

It’s hard to pick just one name here! Klein absolutely loves using this position, so I think we see no shortage of names emerge and make big contributions from this group of players.

That said, I think Green will be the foremost among them. An ACL injury kept #18 out of action last year, but he should be back with a vengeance this year. After a promising freshman season where he showed a lot with his receiving skills, I’m excited to see what he can bring to the downfield passing game.

Not only that, but Green is a willing and able blocker. This piece of his game was undersold due to the clutch catches he made (and the general malaise surrounding the run game for much of 2022), but he is a guy you can play every down, no matter the call—a valuable asset for this offense.

Other names to watch would include Garrett Miller, Tre Watson, and Theo Mehlin Ohrstrom. Shane Calhoun, the ECU transfer TE, could see some snaps at H-Back.
