Predicting Texas A&M football's starting lineup - OT: Rueben Fatheree, Trey Zuhn

Zuhn is probably a no-brainer here—he was likely the best player on the offensive line for the Aggies last year. Father, though, is looking to bounce back after an injury-plagued 2023 and a 2022 that saw some regression from his excellent freshman campaign.

Big #76 has the size and technique to make life hard on opposing defensive linemen, but he has struggled in the past. Against top-3 pick Will Anderson in 2021, he didn’t allow a single sack, but 2022 saw more struggles for the big man.

I think he’s closer to the budding star we saw in 2021 than what we’ve seen since—there’s a common denominator between everyone on the OL’s apparent regression in those two years, one that is now departed—and I think he’ll hold his own at tackle this year.

Another name to watch at this spot is Dametrious Crownover. He’s been waiting in the wings for a while, and it seems like he’s ready to break into the rotation soon. If Fatheree struggles, we may see Crownover out there at RT sooner rather than later.
