With spring over and done with, here’s how we see Texas A&M football’s starting 11 on each side looking against the Irish.

Predicting Texas A&M football's starting lineup - DE: Nic Scourton, Shemar Turner

Aside from Weigman, this is possibly the easiest call on the whole team. Nic Scourton is going to be an absolute star for this team—that was my number one takeaway from spring football, and he showed out big time in the spring game itself. He’s a ferocious pass rusher who will stop at nothing to get into the backfield, and his run defense is a huge plus as well.

Shemar Turner, for a few games last year, looked like he may be the best defensive lineman in the country. His game against Arkansas had some eye-popping tape in it, specifically. If he can bottle that intensity and level of play and dispense it across the whole season—while staying healthy, of course—he could play himself into some first-round discussion.

Another name to watch is the other Shemar: Shemar Stewart. The former five-star DL recruit is an NFL prototype, to quote draft guru Bob Sturm, and he looks to be beginning to come into his own. Rylan Kennedy is intriguing as well: I liked what I saw from him against Oklahoma State.
