With spring over and done with, here’s how we see Texas A&M football’s starting 11 on each side looking against the Irish.

Predicting Texas A&M football's starting lineup - DT: David Hicks, Albert Regis

Hicks is perhaps the biggest breakout candidate on the entire defense. The former top-5 recruit from Katy got extended snaps in the bowl game and made his presence felt immediately.

Hicks brings game-wrecking potential on the interior of the defensive line. His quickness and strength are intimidating, and he will be able to make life difficult on opposing running games as well as rush the passer a little bit.

Regis is maybe the guy I’m least sure about on this entire list. His seniority commends him as a starter, and he has given some quality snaps to the Aggies, but there’s a litany of less-proven, highly-talented guys waiting in the wings behind him.

Some of those names include Gabriel Brownlow-Dindy—yet another five-star DL from the 2022 class—and even a guy like Samu Taumanupepe, who could be the Aggies’ version of former UGA Bulldog Jordan Davis if things fall right. I’d also watch Wisconsin transfer Rodas Johnson here.
