Tier listing top SEC quarterbacks: Where does Texas A&M football's Weigman land?

There has been a glut of top-tier quarterback talent in the SEC since Texas A&M football came into the league, but for most of the Aggies' time in the conference, they've had middling performances at the position. Of course, A&M has featured one of the best signal callers in the illustrious history of the SEC in Johnny Manziel, but they've never really come close to recapturing those heights after 2013.

That's not to say that there haven't been flashes of brilliance for A&M. I'm sure most Aggie fans well remember the Kenny Trill phenomenon, and the one kind of half-season we got from Kyler Murray that showed something.

But more often than not it's been guys like Kellen Mond and Max Johnson—very solid, but nothing amazing. Then you have the more ignominious tenures, like that of Haynes King, who had a lot of potential but wasn't quite able to put everything together while in College Station.

This season, however, the Aggies have a chance to return to the top echelon of signal callers in the league. Conner Weigman, who has already impressed in his limited time, will be working his craft in an offense far more friendly to quarterbacks, and Aggie fans anticipate him putting the country on notice.

But where does Weigman rank right now in the pantheon of SEC QBs? What about guys like Carson Beck, Jackson Arnold, Quinn Ewers, and Nico Iamaleava? Let's put together some tiers and figure out where everyone slots in the Southeastern Conference.
