Way-too-early SEC QB tier listings: Texas A&M football could boast among SEC's best
SEC QB Tier list: A Tier
For the A tier, we have guys who have either proven themselves as top talents or have shown, in limited time, that they could realistically rise to the level of a Heisman contender.
Cook's numbers actually profile extremely similarly to Dart's, but it's the eye test that sets him apart for me. Cook has felt like a differentiating factor in Mizzou's play and lifted their offense to new heights rather than simply operating within the system. In honesty, the two are very close, and this is more of a judgment call than anything—I'll be interested to see which of the two has the better year.
The young signal caller up on Rocky Top is a big reason for the future optimism for the Big Orange. Like Sellers, there has been very limited playing time for the young buck thus far, but Iamaleava looks as natural as can be playing the position. He can sling passes downfield effortlessly, and he has the kind of accuracy you can't teach. At least one recruiting outlet had him as their #1 overall player in his class, and it's not without reason.
Weigman has unfortunately been hampered by injury so far in his career, but what we have seen is enough to be very excited about. His ability to fit the ball into tight windows, operate well against pressure, and make every throw on the field has been on display, and it was clear the Aggie offense (such as it was in 2023) was not the same without him.
Hopefully a full year in Collin Klein's system will be enough to continue the hype that has already been growing around #15. I, for one, am a believer!
