College football week 3 evening window: First screen - UCF @ TCU (7:30 PM ET/6:30 PM CT, FOX)

A storied Big 12 rivalry reaches its latest edition this Saturday, as the Knights and Horned Frogs meet once more on the gridiron. I still remember my grandfather telling me stories of going to this game growing up—it truly is one of America’s great institutions.

I like KJ Jefferson in Gus Malzahn’s offense, and I really think the Knights can make some noise in the Big 12 this year. Maybe not enough to move past the Utah Utes, but they can give them a scare.

TCU is… not the same as they were in 2022. From the national championship to Stanford taking you to overtime in week one! Quite a change. I’ve got the Knights in a fun one, 41-31.

College football week 3 evening window: First screen - Colorado @ Colorado State (7:30 PM ET/6:30 PM CT, CBS)

This is bound to be a game that snags a lot of eyes if for no other reason than Deion. In other words, it’s a normal Colorado game.

Last year, an overmatched CSU team jumped out to an early lead before CU eventually rebuffed their efforts, triumphing after a late comeback. You can bet that Rams fans have been ready to take on the Buffaloes once more ever since that moment.

I’m not sure if the PAC-12’s newest member has what it takes here, though. Despite manifold issues with Colorado, I think they can ride their passing game to a win in this one, 31-28.
