Will Texas A&M Football Bring Back DL Fadil Diggs?

Diggs had what was looking to be a breakout year in 2022 before going down with injury in the South Carolina game. His performance against Alabama was huge, when he notched three sacks and two forced fumbles against Jalen Milroe in the agonizingly close loss the Aggies sustained versus the Tide.

2022 was a bit of a slower year for Diggs than a lot of fans were anticipating. He still put up numbers, but he was outshone by guys like Edgerrin Cooper, McKinnley Jackson, and Walter Nolen.

There are a lot of very similar factors with Diggs as with several of the other players I've already mentioned in this article. Originally from the Northeast, he was recruited by Elijah Robinson. Being a defensive line player as well, Robinson was his position coach. With all that in mind, Robinson's departure seemed to be a big factor here.

Due to that close relationship with coach Robinson, I don't know that I feel good about Diggs's chances of returning. This is quite the 180 from when he approvingly tweeted about the Elko hire, but that's sometimes how the cookie crumbles! I'd expect Fadil to follow Robinson up to Syracuse if I had to make a prediction here.
