Kaeden Kent announces he is returning to Texas A&M baseball for 2025

The dominoes keep falling for Texas A&M baseball. The day after superstars Gavin Grahovac and Jace LaViolette announced their return to College Station, they have now been joined by backup-turned-postseason hero Kaeden Kent. Kent posted on Instagram indicating his imminent return.

This is yet another huge announcement for Texas A&M baseball. Kent was one of the best performers for the Aggies this postseason. Most memorable by far was his grand slam to cap off a huge comeback against the Oregon Ducks in the Super Regional round, but he remained a solid and consistent hitter in Braden Montgomery’s stead throughout the Aggies’ trip to Omaha.

Kent is the son of former big leaguer Jeff Kent, which the broadcast crew made sure to mention once every few at-bats. His future is bright, and though he toyed with the idea of the portal for a little bit, I’m glad he made the determination to return to Aggieland.

Michael Earley's hire, so far, is proving to do just what Aggie fans hoped. Nearly every key player who has entered their name in the portal following Schloss's defection has now announced they will be returning to Aggieland.

Kent will join what threatens to be one of the best power-hitting lineups in the country. With LaViolette, Grahovac, and now Texas Tech transfer Gavin Kash in the order along with him, this Aggie team—which set records at the plate last year—could threaten to smash any and all hitting records under Michael Earley this upcoming season. Welcome back, Kaeden!
