It was a crucial day for Texas A&M basketball, as they learned the fate of their veteran forward, Rashaun Agee. Agee comes to College Station from USC and looks to be a massive part of Bucky McMillan building from the ground up.
Travis Brown of KBTX reported that a judge ruled in favor of Rashaun Agee in granting a temporary restraining order, allowing the Texas A&M veteran to be eligible to play. Agee is awaiting a date for a final hearing from the NCAA, but for now, he's eligible to play as an Aggie.
This also means that the veteran will make $1.2 million in revenue sharing, and TexAgs reporter Carter Karels said Agee wouldn't be making anything if he were ruled ineligible. This is huge for Texas A&M basketball, as during the hearing, McMillan made a bold statement at the hearing that will have fans excited for the Agee experiment.
Bucky McMillan says Rashaun Agee is the face of Texas A&M basketball
This sort of came out of left field, as fans have been waiting to see what Mackenzie Mgbako and Pop Issacs are going to do, but McMillan made a bold claim to say that Agee is that guy, and maybe even a first-rounder.
How big is the Rashaun Agee ruling? Texas A&M coach Bucky McMillan testified in court today that he believes Agee could be the face of the program this season and develop into a first-round selection in the 2026 NBA Draft.

Agee is one of those forwards that fans love. He can score in anyway he wants, and he goes up to get rebounds. In his best season with Bowling Green, Agee averaged 13.3 points and 9.9 rebounds in 30 games as a starter.
Of course, the SEC competition has been a different breed over the last three seasons, but Agee looks like someone who could sneak their way into a first-round selection. This isn't news for the team, but for the fans, they haven't heard anybody talk about Agee in this manner.
The Aggies are getting the best of both worlds here, as Agee has been cleared (temporarily) to play, and the fact that he could develop into a first-rounder is exactly what Texas A&M fans wanted to hear.
