Week three in the SEC saw some huge wins in nail-biting games and some disappointing performances in long slogs. As the SEC hurtles towards conference play beginning in earnest, with some of these games serving as a mere appetizer so far, a hierarchy is beginning to form.

So, who moved up and improved their stock this week in the SEC power rankings? Who slipped after disappointing play? Let's dive in and power rank the SEC.

Power ranking the SEC after week 3 - 16: Kentucky

This is more a result of Arkansas moving up than it is the Wildcats moving down, but when defense is supposed to be the strength of your team and you allow Eastern Michigan (the 119th best offense in the FBS, per SP+) to put up 23 points on you, then there may be some cause for concern.

There are just not a lot of good vibes around Mark Stoops's program up there right now. Things have been awkward since Stoops nearly left and then didn't leave for Aggieland, and he hasn't done a lot to quell the dissatisfaction around Lexington either.

Zach Calzada sustained an injury against Ole Miss that kept him out for the end of the game and the entirety of their contest against EMU, making Cutter Boley the man in Lexington. The Wildcats will get a bye before heading to Columbia to try and take advantage of a similarly-hobbled Gamecock team.
