SEC power rankings after week 1 - 6: Alabama

Is it too soon to say DeBoer is on the hot seat? I don’t think very many people had the Tide losing this game by 14 points— and FSU could very well turn out to be a pretty good team, of course, but it’s still a bad look.

Ty Simpson had some good throws, but the inability to make the offense go with regularity really cost the Tide here too. The defense was the obvious issue, but the Tide were far from able to sustain drives the way they needed to.

It just seems like the edge isn’t quite there for this program the way it used to be. That was a lot of the dialogue surrounding this team during the game, especially once clips came out of players putting forth less-than-total effort in the game as it was slipping away.

Now, you have all sorts of anonymous sources saying all sorts of concerning things about the team— whether true or not, the fact that they're gaining the traction that they are is a sign that all is not well in T-Town. The contract they signed DeBoer to means he probably gets another year absent a losing season in 2025, but things don't look rosy right now.
