After all the action around the SEC this past weekend, the balance of power is beginning to shift in the conference. There are some teams emerging that no one expected, while early-season darlings are starting to falter.

So how does the conference shake out after week 10 of the action? Let's dive in and talk power rankings for the SEC.

Power ranking the SEC after week 10 - 16: Auburn

The Tigers are in just about the worst of ways right now, losing to perennial basement-dweller Kentucky while at home and finally firing their coach. I guess that last part may mean to some fans that they are in a better place, but you can always go from bad to worse!

In any case, this is a team that is down tremendous at this moment. The Tigers have been in every single game that they've played and could well be 7-1 at the moment, but instead they are 4-4 with their lone conference win being over the Arkansas Razorbacks— and even that is because of the fact that the Hogs turned the ball over four times!

There's still a lot to like about this team, of course. Their defense is really, really solid, and their offense has weapons— maybe, with that side of the ball under new management, they can actually take advantage of those weapons more!

That's hard with the quarterback situation down on the Plains, but you never know. Maybe a further commitment to the run game against Vanderbilt could get the Tigers a big road win— that would certainly curry some favor towards acting HC DJ Durkin, though the Tigers are probably shooting bigger.
