Power ranking the SEC after week 10: #2 - Alabama

Alabama had an off week to prepare for their game down in Baton Rouge this weekend. It’s kind of moot since the Tigers did as well, but Alabama does feel like a team with a couple of things to figure out.

This is essentially for your college football playoff life, if you’re the Tide. The win over Georgia was massive, but it will only take you so far—especially when you have it somewhat negated by a loss to the Vanderbilt Commodores.

No team should trouble the Tide down the stretch, though, as they face Mercer, OU, and Auburn to close the season. Bama’s ability to reach Atlanta could jump with a win over LSU and a loss by Tennessee this weekend, but that is still some difficult math for Tide fans at the moment.
