Power ranking the SEC after week 10: #15 - Kentucky

Congrats, Kentucky! The fabled “quality loss” has moved you up in the power rankings. Time to celebrate!

The Wildcats looked as though they may have been able to steal a win in Knoxville for the early part of the game this past Saturday, but Tennessee eventually sealed the win in the latter part of the contest.

Still, though, 7.1 YPA and 4.5 YPC are both solid marks for Kentucky, relatively speaking, and great against that Volunteer defense. The Wildcats were bad at converting on scoring opportunities, but there were some solid flashes.

The fact remains, though, that this season is likely a failure unless Mark Stoops pulls off another big upset down the line. Both Texas and Louisville remain on the schedule as big tests, but there’s not much to commend the idea that Kentucky goes anything but 0-2 in that stretch.
