Power ranking the SEC after week 11: #7 - LSU

The Tigers just got embarrassed by Alabama down in the Bayou. Even after what Marcel Reed did to Blake Baker’s defense in College Station two weeks ago, they have still apparently not learned how to tackle a running quarterback.

All the snide tweets and comments from LSU fans last week directed A&M’s way as the Aggies lost to South Carolina look pretty silly now. I mean, they did then, given that the Aggies smacked them down so convincingly the week before, but it looks even worse at this point.

The Tigers are now at 6-3 with some serious questions about their situation for the rest of the year. They play Florida, Vanderbilt, and OU—all teams in a pretty bad way—so 9-3 seems the safe bet to finish the year, but for a team with designs on Atlanta and the playoff, that is a little bit of a letdown.

Of course, at that mark and with a win over Ole Miss, that could be enough to get into the 12-team field depending on how things shake out. They may be white-knuckling things for a little bit, though, if it does indeed come to that.
