Power ranking the SEC after week 11: #4 - Texas A&M

The Aggies were idle this week, but there were a couple of results that helped them. Georgia falling to Ole Miss means that the Aggies are back in sole control of the top spot in the SEC, though a non-conference game this upcoming Saturday means that there are a couple of teams that could move up into a tie with them pending next weekend’s results.

The Aggies will come into this Saturday with a lot to prove, however. Their defense had a lot of trouble with the big and powerful LaNorris Sellers and Rocket Sanders last we saw them—the good news for A&M fans is that is an anomalous result so far this season and they will not face another huge QB-RB tandem like that for the remainder of the year.

NMSU is a really, really bad team. The Ags need to lay down the law convincingly in this game on both sides of the ball and get out of dodge quickly. The road game at Auburn is a key contest, and we all know how important the final game of the year is. This one, though it comes against a cellar-dweller, sets the table for those final two.
