Power ranking the SEC after week 11: #2 - Tennessee

The Volunteers knocked off a moribund Mississippi State squad despite missing Nico Iamaleava for the second half with an upper body injury. Hopefully, he is ready to go next week against Georgia in what will no doubt be another banger of a game in the conference.

The struggling Volunteer offense still managed a respectable number against the Bulldogs, who are steadily improving each week. The defense, though, remains the story of this year.

They’ll have to make sure their chinstraps are tightened for next week’s game, though. Kirby’s group will no doubt be out for blood after being embarrassed in Oxford this past week, so I’m sure they’ll be playing some focused ball in Athens. What with the recent play of Carson Beck, though, that may not matter.
