The Ole Miss Rebels make their way to the top of these power rankings for the first time this year, while Texas A&M football is hanging around after their bye.

Power ranking the SEC after week 11: #1 - Ole Miss

The Rebels just laid a solid beatdown on Georgia, the former number one in this ranking, further bringing some craziness to this already-crazy season. Thus, despite their two conference losses, they are atop the standings in this poll this week.

Lane Kiffin’s squad will, in all likelihood, finish the year at 10-2; thanks to their win over Georgia, though, that means they will most likely be in the playoff at year’s end. Due to their two conference losses, however, they will probably not make it to Atlanta.

If the Rebs slip up, though, they will be out of consideration. But with the way this team has been playing recently, especially on the defensive side, I don’t think that’s likely to happen against Florida or Mississippi State.

How much do these guys have to be kicking themselves over their loss to Kentucky, by the way? That looks less and less explainable by the week.
