Power ranking the SEC after week 11: #11 - Vanderbilt

I’m not sure many had the Commodores losing worse to South Carolina than they did to Texas (unless, of course, you follow me on Twitter), but that’s what has come to pass. The Gamecocks ended up putting a thorough beatdown on the Commodores this weekend.

In a frightening sight for Commodores fans, though, Diego Pavia appeared to be injured at the end. The heart and soul of this Vandy team, the recently-litigious Pavia is a necessary piece of this squad if they want to make more progress this season.

They have a bye week for him to heal up, thankfully, before they close at LSU and at home against Tennessee. I doubt they are given a very high chance to win either of those games, but if no. 2 is out there, you really can’t rule it out.
