Power ranking the SEC after week 11: #10 - Arkansas

The Hogs are another team that had this past weekend off as they prepare for a rivalry game against Texas. They needed it badly—Taylen Green’s health is flagging over the last few weeks, as was that of top RB Ja’Quinden Jackson.

If those guys are healthy, they can pose a legitimate challenge to the Longhorns in Fayetteville (though the schedule-makers did them no favors by putting this game at noon). But even if they’re at 100%, it will be a tough mountain to climb.

I say that, though, but the only other time we’ve seen the Longhorns play on the road, they beat Vandy by a mere 3 points. And that was in Nashville, which won’t hold a candle to the environment in Fayetteville, even if the game is at noon.

Arky needs one more win to reach bowl eligibility, and with how things stand right now, I think it’s safe to say Sam Pittman’s seat is much cooler than it was at the beginning of the year. Masterful job by one of the sport’s most likeable coaches.
