Power ranking the SEC after week 12: Georgia back into top 3 as Tennessee sinks, South Carolina making a run?

We now only have two weeks remaining of SEC football in the regular season, and there's still so much left that is yet to be determined. We have an idea of the pool of teams from which the SEC champion will come, but it's much broader at this point in the year than it normally has been,

There's some unfairness that has come with the lack of divisions, but the chaos and intrigue has heightened tensions around the conference footprint in a good way as well. I think it's pretty much a sure thing that Alabama gets in, for example, but there's still some things that could happen to switch things up on that front too.

After the action this weekend, let's power rank the conference.

Power ranking the SEC after week 12: #16 - Oklahoma

Mercifully for OU fans (and football fans in general), the Sooners did not have a game this week. Unmercifully for OU fans, they get to close out the year with Alabama and at LSU.

Now, LSU is on a downswing at the moment, but going to Death Valley is no joke. Unless the wheels have completely fallen off by that point, it’s hard to see the Sooners pulling out a win there.

That would make Oklahoma a 5-7 football team at season’s end. That’s not exactly how you want to begin your tenure in a conference like the SEC—although, to be fair, that’s what Missouri did and they made the SEC championship game both of the next two seasons!

Not sure OU can do that, though.
