Power ranking the SEC after week 12: #7 - Missouri

Missouri acquitted themselves well against a ferocious Carolina defense on the road. If it weren’t for some late-game heroics by LaNorris Sellers, the Tigers may have taken that game after a furious comeback themselves.

Mizzou has disappointed this season, but this looked more like the team most expected coming into the year. Luther Burden made a huge play late, as did Brady Cook, who was fighting through an injury.

With Nate Noel, Burden, and Cook all playing, this is an intimidating squad. They’ve lost three rough road games against ranked opponents, but they’ve taken care of business otherwise, even when their top players have been out with injury.

They’re probably bound for a 9-3 regular season record with games at Mississippi State and home against Arkansas remaining, which means 10 wins would be in reach with a bowl win. I know they were hoping for more coming into the year, but that’s still a heck of a season for the Tigers.
