The SEC has been a wild ride so far in 2025, but it's beginning to look like a clear hierarchy is forming in the conference. Almost every team has faced a real test so far, and the passes and fails have both been educational as to where they land in the SEC food chain.

There are still some teams where the jury is out at this point, but we're beginning to get a better idea of who exactly these squads are. There could always be some unexpected movement or upsets, and we always see some team hit an inflection point and start playing differently— in both good and bad directions— but the order is becoming more and more solid.

Let's dive in and power rank the SEC after week four.

Power ranking the SEC after week four: 16 - Kentucky

Sometimes you move up while you're on a bye week, and sometimes you don't. This is one of the latter cases, I'm afraid to say. I still do not think that I've seen very much positive at all out of this Kentucky program this year, and I fear that's because there's simply not a lot of positive in the cards for them this season.

They could easily prove me wrong, of course, but I think that this is a Kentucky team that could easily finish with only three wins. The only guarantee on the schedule right now is Tennessee Tech, although Florida heading to Lexington could end up as a win if the Gators continue their tailspin. That would sure lead to some exciting bottom-rung movement on these power rankings.

Three of their next four opponents are ranked in the top 15, though both Texas and Georgia could sustain losses before they play the Wildcats. South Carolina looked a lot better against Missouri this weekend, and UK has to make the trip to Columbia to face their own personal demon in the form of Dylan Stewart this upcoming week.

Mark Stoops's squad is in a bad way as of right now, is what I mean. There's still a question mark at the quarterback position as Zach Calzada remains injured, but Cutter Boley could end up replacing him anyway. He did decent against Ole Miss and well against Eastern Michigan, but that remains to be seen.
