Week six in the SEC has come and gone, and we've seen our fair share of upsets. Two top-ten teams fell to unranked squads, including one from this conference, showing just how volatile the sport can be at times.
That's what makes it so fun, though— any given week, you can see a team take home a win that no one expected. We've already seen plenty of that this year, and more is no doubt in store.
So how did the SEC shake out after an upset-filled week six? Let's take a look.
Power ranking the SEC after week 6 - 16: Kentucky
The Wildcats made a brave effort against the Georgia Bulldogs, but their game went just about exactly as you'd expect against Kirby Smart's squad. Kentucky could hardly move the ball on the ground, though Cutter Boley put up a surprising amount of yardage through the air.
A late touchdown made this one seem closer than it actually was, as the Bulldogs led 35-7 headed into the fourth quarter. The Kentucky defense struggled to contain a Georgia offense that hasn't exactly been a hugely successful unit so far this year, which leaves fans wondering just what there is to like about UK.
Kentucky will have a week off before they host Texas in Lexington, but it's hard to find any more wins on this schedule outside of Tennessee Tech. Would 3-9 be enough to dismiss Mark Stoops? We may find out the answer to that question this winter.
