Power ranking the SEC after week 9: #6 - Ole Miss

Ole Miss, after a dominant non-conference run, has struggled in nearly every single conference game on offense. The explosiveness that they had previously this year has all but abandoned them at times, though we see flashes here and there.

The Rebels are headed into Fayetteville in a clear trap game situation. With Georgia coming to town next week—a game that Ole Miss fans hope can buoy their suddenly-dwindling college football playoff hopes—a lot of attention will be put on the Bulldogs, while Arkansas will look to pounce.

Of course, if the Rebs are unable to go undefeated down the stretch, they are almost certainly out of the 12-team field. That means victories over Arkansas, UGA, Florida, and Mississippi State. 3-1 or 2-2 are both very possible here.

The Ole Miss defense really looks like they’re for real, though, which is a plus for this team. I had my doubts coming into the year, but in no way did I think the Rebel offense would be the side of the ball with more questions at this point in the year.
