Power ranking the SEC after week 9: #11 - Arkansas

The Hogs are snorting again (is this anything? Let me know) after a big offensive showing. Putting up 58 points on a conference opponent is no small feat, even if it is Mississippi State.

That makes back to back games for a Petrino offense against the Bulldogs where the team scores 50+. Taylen Green looks back to form now, and the Hogs are now also one win away from bowl eligibility.

The defense for Arkansas looks like they’re still a stout unit, but I’m not quite sure I’m fully bought into the offense yet. The Hogs reeled off four straight games where they didn’t exceed 2 points per drive before registering a 4.38 PPD mark against the Bulldogs; how much of that is fool’s gold?

Arkansas will get Ole Miss at home this weekend in another opportunity for a huge home win over a ranked team. It’s easy to see a game like this going very similarly to Arkansas-Tennessee. With the Rebels hosting UGA next week, this will be a big opportunity for the Hogs.
