Power ranking the SEC after week 9: #10 - Missouri

Missouri… ouch.

The Tigers, albeit without a 100% Brady Cook (and without him at all for quite a bit of the game), just got shut out in Tuscaloosa. Now at 6-2, the Tigers, a preseason top 10 team, are barely in the top 25 headed into their bye week.

The good news is that every single game remaining on the schedule is extremely winnable. Home against OU, road games against South Carolina and Mississippi State, and a home game against Arkansas are all that are left.

The bad news is that that slate includes back to back road games, which, as I have noted this past week, are rarely both wins. Now, the second half of that back to back is against one of the worst teams in the conference, but I’d still be wary if I were a Tiger fan.

That still puts you at 9-3, in my opinion, pending what will probably be an under-discussed good game against Arkansas in the final game of the year. At worst, the Tigers end 8-4, but with the way that schedule set up and with the preseason expectations this year, that would be a huge disappointment.
