Power ranking the SEC after week 8: 4 - Ole Miss

The levy eventually broke in this game despite a heroic effort from Trinidad Chambliss, who looked positively imperturbable for the first stretch in Athens. The crowd noise became too much by the fourth quarter, though, and you could tell he was pressing and hurried by the time the game finished.

The Rebels' defense was absolutely shredded all day by the Bulldogs, however, which is definitely concerning going forward. Stockton is a star when throwing the deep go routes, of course, but to get so consistently beaten by a guy like that is not at all what you want to see.

Luckily for the Rebs, they have only one game left against a currently-ranked team when they travel to Norman, Oklahoma this week. Though they are currently road underdogs in this one, I think many people would be surprised if they did, in fact, end up losing.

Other than that, they just need to take care of business against Florida, South Carolina, the Citadel, and Mississippi State. The Egg Bowl will be in Starkville, however, which complicates things, but Kiffin's team should be a solid favorite— that is, unless he already has one foot out the door to Gainesville.
