Power ranking the SEC after week 8: 10 - Auburn
The Tigers somehow continue to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory, week in and week out. Auburn has had everything go wrong for them in every single game except for their game in College Station, where exactly the opposite happened— and yet they still couldn't win.
There are a few signs that things are getting better, but Jackson Arnold continues to look like he's not the answer at quarterback. More than that, though, Auburn fans are ready to summarily dismiss their head man and playcaller: how Cam Coleman gets no targets in overtime is something that is beyond my powers of comprehension.
That was a game against a top-20 team at home that you desperately needed, and you absolutely frittered it away. That's just not something that can happen in year three, when you have your most talented team yet and have already seen similar results pile up in other games.
The only thing keeping Auburn back from making a move is the absolute insanity that this upcoming coaching carousel is about to be. The Tigers may not want to join in with Penn State, Florida, and possibly Florida State and LSU in searching for a new head man.
