Texas A&M baseball fan favorite shows that Aggies come into 2025 with scores to settle
Texas A&M baseball got as close as you possibly could to the mountaintop last year before tragically falling short. The Ags came down to one final game for it all in Omaha, but they ended up falling to the Tennessee Volunteers.
That loss has no doubt been a big time motivating factor this entire offseason. Especially with the way that things went directly after the season, too, the Aggies feel like they have a lot of scores to settle this year.
This was exemplified by a post today from fan favorite Hayden Schott. Normally the funny one in the room, Schott played the role of a tone-setter when he posted this photo from just after things went final in Omaha last year.

Even though they experienced so many victories last year, this is a team that hasn't forgotten the pain of defeat. Even though they succeeded so profoundly, they still haven't forgotten the sting of that final failure.
It is failing at that last hurdle that will get this Aggie team back to Omaha— and, if all goes according to plan, back to the College World Series final. That is no small task, of course: no first-year head coach has ever even made it to Omaha before.
But this is no ordinary first-year head coach, and this is no ordinary team. Even through the gauntlet of the SEC, this is a squad that has the talent and the mentality to get all the way to the top. That's why they're a unanimous preseason number one, after all.
That ride begins today. It will no doubt have some ups and downs, but Earley so far looks to be the man for the job. This team has the opportunity to do something special— and the mentality to do it, as well.
