Texas A&M football has been predicted to land five-star edge defender Tristian Givens in a hotly-contested recruitment over the Tennessee Volunteers. Givens was up in Knoxville last weekend, where it was thought that Heupel and company had seized the momentum in his recruitment, but with an announcement inbound on Monday, it looks like A&M may be in the driver's seat after all.

Givens would join an Aggie defensive line class that is lightly populated at the moment, but could be adding several big time names in the next span of days. Top-100 prospect Jordan Carter is already in the boat, but the Ags could also add five-stars Lamar Brown and Bryce Perry-Wright if everything falls right.
Texas A&M predicted to add five-star edge prospect Tristian Givens ahead of Monday announcement
If the Aggies can land Givens and add him to this class, they will be shaping up for one of the best defensive line classes in the entire nation. That's in addition to a running back class that is definitely the best in the nation, showing the dominance that the Aggies have thus far manifested on the trail.
There was a lot of talk among fans about how Sean Spencer may be dismissed after the poor play down the stretch of last year, but you can't deny his recruiting prowess. Adding Givens to this class would be the latest in a line of big time wins by Spencer.
This isn't even to mention the fact that the Aggies also have a great shot with Anthony "Tank" Jones out of Mobile, AL. A true-blue five-star prospect, adding Jones to go along with Givens would be about the deadliest pass rush you could construct out of this cycle's recruits.
Givens is a major piece, and bringing him home would mean that the Aggies could reclaim their previous status of one of the top defensive line units in the entire nation. Here's hoping Mike Elko, Sean Spencer, and company can bring him into the fold on Monday.
