It's no secret that the Texas A&M offense underwent a major rebuild for the 2025 season. Even head coach Mike Elko didn't mince words when discussing the struggles of the 2024 season.
Elko at Coach's Night with @fortworthaggies: "We did a lot to recharge the wide receiver room. We need to get better, more dynamic, more explosive."

"(KC Concepcion) has been exceptional. ... He could be a captain. He has been unbelievable with his work ethic, his commitment to…
Since Cyrus Allen and Noah Thomas have used the transfer portal to leave Texas A&M, the addition of Mario Craver and KC Concepcion has Elko excited about the new "recharge" of the WR room. Pro Football Focus seems to agree with Elko on Concepcion's work ethic and leadership, and they list him as one of the transfers to watch for the 2025 season.
PFF lists Concepcion as an "impact player" from portal
PFF does a great job explaining why Concepcion is one of the impact transfer players of 2025. Sure, he had a down year in 2024 at NC State, but a talented receiver like KC is too good not to see reps on the field.
Since 2023, among Power Four receivers, his 16 receiving touchdowns are the most. Concepcion's gift of running with the football has paid off too, with 357 rushing yards in that same span.
PFF confirms a great problem that Texas A&M fans know that Elko has. He has plenty of choices to make when it comes running plays in the backfield. Concepcion and Terry Bussey can be used in reverses. Rueben Owens and Le'Veon Bell are going to be at 100 percent next season. KC's presence is just another weapon on the field for the A&M offense.
Elko already seems to love Concepcion. After all, Elko has had his back on the subject of this nonsense NIL rumor. This is great for Elko to dismiss these rumors for the sake of the locker room. The bigger picture is Concepcion vastly improving the offense, or "recharging" it as Elko claimed.
