Prominent SEC 'X' account tries too hard to hype up Gators' prestigious history

It's not 2007 anymore, Gator fans.

Some of Florida's best days were in the 2000s, when Tim Tebow led the Gators to two national championships with Urban Meyer at the helm. It seems Gator fans for some reason are trying so hard to remind Texas A&M fans of that in 2025.

This is not a critique on what Florida did back in the day, because they looked like a complete unstoppable dynasty, but the SEC Numbers Guy just can't help himself by pouring the 2000s Kool-Aid all over A&M fans for some reason.

Texas A&M right now is at their highest point since winning the 2021 Orange Bowl. The Aggies are one of the hottest teams in the country, and it seems like that's why the SEC Numbers Guy has to hype up the Gators to make this game feel somewhat even.

Texas A&M fans are clapping back at Florida's "history"

This was about the best comeback to all of the No. 1 rankings that Florida has had. We don't deny that Florida has had incredible success over the past year, but what does that have to do with this weekend in 2025?

Fans seem to say the same thing favoring the Aggies here:

This one is about as funny as it gets.

Some Florida fans on SECRant.com answered in a more optimistic way, and why not? They just got a top 10 win against Texas, even though Texas didn't really deserve to be anywhere close to there to begin with.

"I would say so," one Florida fan said. "We seem to have decent luck playing there. Went 2-1 there with a chance late in the loss."

One Florida fan made it pretty clear that the Aggies are legit.

"No. None. ZERO. Aggy looks like a legitimate National Championship contender, we still have Sling Billy as our coach."

This feels like another trap for the Aggies, and it's time for fans to stand up for themselves and disregard the 'history' of the Gators. Even Gator fans know that this Aggies' offense is for real, and it will be on full display under the lights.
