Texas A&M has had their share of alumni make an impact on the NBA recently, from new Dallas Maverick Khris Middleton to the Oklahoma City Thunder's Alex Caruso, both of whom have won championships in the past five years. Now, a new Aggie graduate is seeking to join the ranks of NBA stardom after paying his dues in the G-League.

Quenton Jackson was one of the most beloved Aggie basketball players of the Buzz Williams era, even if he wasn't in College Station for a full four years. His dynamic play on both ends of the floor earned him a lot of respect among Aggie fans, but he was best known for his explosive dunks on offense.

Jackson has been part of the Pacers organization for a couple of years now after spending some time with the Wizards, and with the recent rash of injuries in Indianapolis, he's had an increased role— which has led to increased opportunities for big plays. He made one last night that not only has caught eyes from around the league, but has fans begging for him to get signed for the long-term as soon as possible.

Quenton Jackson records explosive slam dunk highlight that Texas A&M fans will love

Here's what Jackson pulled off in the game last night against the Brooklyn Nets:

Talk about a poster! Jackson's explosiveness was on full display, elevating past three defenders to jam the ball home in transition— and he got right back on defense, too.

Jackson is currently on a two-way contract, which means he can only play so many games in the NBA as he spends a fair amount of time with the Pacers' G-League affiliate. After this highlight, and his general excellent play over the last few weeks, fans are clamoring for the Pacers to give him a full-time deal.

Hopefully these fans get their wish. Jackson is more than capable of being a contributor at a high level on an NBA team, and he's showing that in a big way.
