Texas A&M football hit a rock in their season last night, losing 44-20 to South Carolina.
Multiple phases of the game are to critique, but especially defenders not being able to bring LaNorris Sellers to the ground.
Here's what Mike Elko and others had to say after the loss.
Mike Elko on tackling big guys
"They got a big quarterback, he's 240 pounds, they got a big running back, he's 230 pounds, and we didn't bring our feet and we didn't tackle the you need to to tackle big backs."
Mike Elko on concerns on missed tackles
"I think the missed tackles have been growing and growing."
Mike Elko on injury to Le'Veon Moss
"Not having (Moss) was tough, we'll see. I don't think it looks real good right now, but I don't think it may be looks as bad as it might have on the field so hopefully it's not one of those awful ones but I do think he'll be out for a little while."
Taurean York on not tackling Sellers
"You hate to say that one man beat us but that's what it felt like out there, honestly."
Taurean York on near future of Aggies
"We have a lot of ball left to be played and this team is nowhere near done and this team is going to stick together and trust me, with my leadership, we'll be back."
Marcel Reed on starting
(Elko) told me on Thursday afternoon after practice. I don't know what it's going to be continued on forward, I just know I was going to be starting for this game."
Marcel Reed on lessons learned
"We just got to be smarter and play our brand of football."
