Texas A&M is on a true recruiting heater right now, especially after adding two big time recruits in one day yesterday to majorly boost their offensive line group. The Aggies are still eyeing several big time players who have some decisions yet to go public, and they are in prime position in many of them.

However, it's not just players who are currently uncommitted that the Aggies are pursuing. There is one notable name that is high on Texas A&M's list— as well as the list of every program in the nation to be fair— who has announced a pledge to a different school.

Tristen Keys, the number three-overall player in the nation, currently is committed to the LSU Tigers. Though his recruitment was considered a race between Tennessee and Texas A&M for quite some time, he announced for the Tigers after a visit to Baton Rouge.

That hasn't stopped the Aggies from pursuing him heavily, however. He has been back to campus a couple of times since that announcement‚ including the very next weekend, and the Ags still have a real shot. According to one recruiting insider, that could be an even better shot than the team to which he is currently committed.

Recruiting insider predicts Tristen Keys will not land with LSU, says race is between Texas A&M, Miami, and Tennessee

On a podcast recently, Tom Loy of 247 reported that he does not believe that Keys will sign with LSU, and named the Aggies as a team to watch.

That's a pretty big bomb to drop, honestly. This is one of the most coveted players in the entire class, and Loy is saying that he is likely to flip.

If he does come off of his commitment, I'd watch the Aggies closely. They recently hired David "Pop" Cooney from Miami, who was Keys' lead recruiter for the U. That could swing things massively if a decommitment is indeed inbound.

If the Aggies snag Keys to add to their current receiver class— especially considering their strong standing with a guy like Ethan "Boobie" Feaster— this could be one of the most loaded pass-catching groups in the nation. Seems like we just keep saying that about the Aggies' commits at different position groups this cycle— a trend that could take the Ags to a number one-overall class.
