Rounding up Texas A&M football's 2025 signing class: Aggies notch impressive close but eye potentially massive 2026

Texas A&M football has put together a great recruiting class in Mike Elko's first year, but it could pale in comparison to what they have cooking in 2026.

Texas A&M football closes with top-10 recruiting class in 2025, but 2026 could see Aggies in rarified air

Mike Elko's first full cycle as Texas A&M football's head coach saw the Aggies pull in some pretty exciting talent. Just as with every recruiting cycle, this has been a bit of a roller coaster, but A&M closed with some big time names down the stretch of the year.

The Aggies brought in an offensive line class that is pretty eye-catching. Their headliner, of course, is five-star Lamont Rogers, but don't sleep on the late riser Nelson McGuire out of Midlothian, or Bridgeland's Jonte Newman. Marcus Garcia, Tyler Thomas, and Josh Moses round out the OT group.

Receiver is highlighted by late flip Jerome Myles, who has a chance to be a true star with the Aggies. He's currently running track on his way back from a season-ending injury last fall. Tristan Norman and Kelshaun Johnson are the other receivers A&M signed, and each has talent to be excited about.

A&M took two quarterbacks in the class in Brady Hart and Eli Morcos after Husan Longstreet left the Aggies in the lurch. Hart is young, but has sky-high potential, while Morcos is an accurate if limited passer.

The Aggies also brought in a huge piece in Kiotti Armstrong. The very definitoin of a jumbo athlete, Armstrong stands at 6'7" and nearly 270 LBs already— with the chance to add even more to his frame. He projects to play TE for the Aggies, where he could be a huge weapon.

Running back is a position that A&M fans should be excited about going forward. Deondrae "Tiger" Riden is an elite one-cut back out of powerhouse DeSoto High School, and he will be joined by Mizzou flip Jamarion Morrow, who compares more closely to an Ainias Smith-type. This will form an effective duo with a chance for both to see playing time early in College Station.

Defensive back was another position of strength. A&M got in early on Jamar Beal-Goines, who had a meteoric rise in the rankings. They plucked Adonyss Currie out of California and Rashad Johnson out of Florida; two guys who can impact the secondary immediately as well. Deyjhon Pettaway and Cobey Sellers are two Houston-area DBs that bring plenty of speed to the table.

Noah Mikhail and Kelvion Riggins will form an intimidating tandem at linebacker for the Aggies. Reports are already trickling in that Mikhail in particular could see the field early for the Aggies, based on his college-ready build and high football IQ.

The defensive line saw A&M pick up one of the most quickly-rising prospects in the entire nation in Chace Sims, who stuck with the Aggies after a ferocious run from Texas. Similarly, A&M weathered a Longhorn push to land DJ Sanders, another huge defensive tackle. Landon Rink is a highly-productive DT out of Houston, and EDGE Marco Jones will be a major player for the Ags as well.

For as prolific as this 2025 class is for Texas A&M football, the 2026 group could be even more special. The Aggies already have a top class for that year, and they are in on several five-star talents for the cycle.

This is a great base for Texas A&M football to build on in the Mike Elko era. But just as with the upcoming season compared to what came before, the Aggie faithful are hoping that Elko can improve even above the previous cycle.
