Texas Tech fans spreading crazy rumors about Micah Hudson after transfer; Why Aggie fans should write them off completely
Texas A&M football fans are no strangers to the range of emotions that can come with different players entering the transfer portal. When Fadil Diggs entered, there was just a lot of disappointment, with some well-wishing to go along with it. When Evan Stewart entered, there were a lot of sour grapes.
So the reactions to the Aggies' latest portal pickup, former five-star receiver Micah Hudson from Texas Tech, are somewhat expected. And, when the Aggies are involved, you can expect some riding of the now-three-year-old coattails of Sliced Bread.
That's exactly what we saw with this tweet from a Texas Tech fan earlier today. He posted a screenshot of what appears to be a list of requirements for a player to sign somewhere, with the tweet reading "8 receptions ." Given that the screenshot says "Micah," and Hudson recorded only a few receptions last year due to his injury trouble, there's no doubt who this was in reference to.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out how exaggerated all of this is, and the poster was called out for it by multiple people.
Spreading false info about a 19yr old kid because he doesn’t wanna play in the middle of nowhere is so sad💀 https://t.co/QsQiwdUTWy

To make matters even more risible, the poster's original source was apparently Orangebloods— a Texas fan site. Texas Tech fans are so mad that they are trusting a random poster on a rival's fan site who is clearly attempting to paint the Aggies as overpaying for low production.
That's how it always goes with these rivals, of course: when A&M misses on a guy, it's because they're broke, but when they land someone, it's just because they overpaid— pay no attention to the clear contradiction there!
This is all very ironic, anyway, given how Tech fans were speaking about Hudson not even two weeks ago. Before he officially entered the portal, but while worries still abounded in Lubbock, the Red Raider faithful were all but begging him to stay. Just look at the replies to this tweet that summarizes what Joey McGuire was saying about Hudson a few days ago.
I pray he stays. We need him badly. He can be the next Crabtree ...

Others were flaming McGuire for only sending Hudson a text, rather than calling him. Some were even so steamed that they were using this perceived incompetency as a referendum on McGuire's aptitude for this job.
A text? Couldn’t even call him???????

A TEXT?!

Sucks that coaches have to recruit the players every year. But a text? If you needs words with a fella, don’t you track him down and say what’s up to his face? I’m curious….are they practicing everyday for a bowl game? Or is it finals and they are off? Is he playing in the game?

Sent him a text??? Good lord can we finally start calling out McGuire being nothing but a smooth talker that is a slightly above average coach

This is not the attitude of a fanbase that is taking a "good riddance" perspective to this loss; clearly this is a fanbase that feels extremely scorned as a result of this player movement. The Aggies should well know, then, not to trust the rumors they attempt to spread in the wake of this eventuality.
