'Rudy' is known as one of the greatest films in sports. Surprisingly, the topic came up from the media to linebacker Scooby Williams in preparation for the Notre Dame game in South Bend for Week 3.

Pretty much every college football player was born after 2000 at this point, so, the excuse of the players today being unfamiliar with the film isn't that surprising. The film came out in 1993, starring Sean Astin playing the underdog pass rusher, Rudy Ruettiger, fighting with every bone in his body to earn a spot on the Notre Dame roster.

Williams had a hilarious gaffe that will resonate well with every college football fan. For the Irish fans, they might've laughed a bit too hard, and it helps set the tone for what should be an amazing football game.

Scooby Williams hilariously confuses 'Rudy' with 'The Blind Side'

Williams had a hilarious exchange here by asking the media if it was the film "with the offensive lineman." He didn't mention Michael Oher by name, but it was pretty clear that he was talking about 'The Blind Side.'

He also went further to say that he's seen bits and pieces of the film at a dentist office, but not in its entirety. With 'Rudy' being one of the most talked about films of all-time, this probably set a fire with Notre Dame fans, but more of a chuckle at best with the Ags.

We're not too surprised that Williams (or other players) don't know about the film that much. For anyone born around 2004, they probably haven't gotten to it yet.

This might stir the pot with Notre Dame fans, but college football fans everywhere should be looking for a great game under the lights in South Bend.
