Texas A&M football has been firing on all cylinders this offseason. The additions of KC Concepcion and Mario Craver, along with Le'Veon Moss and Rueben Owens coming back from injury, are exactly the tools the Aggies needed to get to where they want to go.
With Mike Elko done with year one under his belt, he now has more eyes overseeing his defense, like former James Madison DC Lyle Hemphill, who also crossed paths with Elko at one point, and he will be an incredible addition to the coaching staff.
Now, with two months to go before the regular season, it's time to mark down some key games on the calendar. One of them will be another revenge game, this time in South Bend, Indiana, against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. But one SEC insider has other opponents as more important than the Irish.
SEC Mike has UT, Florida and Auburn on three toughest opponents
Without a doubt, wherever the Aggies are at the end of the season, they might looking to punch their ticket to the SEC Championship, or possibly spoil Texas' chances at going to Atlanta. Let's check in on SEC Mike to see the teams he has circled and why.

With Auburn getting Jackson Arnold from Oklahoma, I don't want to say just yet that this will be a field day for the Aggies, but Sooners fans will likely sound off against Arnold, as he was benched for poor display in the middle of the season. The Aggies defense will feast in this one, but it's up to the offensive ground game to just do their job.
The Florida Gators come in with hype every year, and they've delivered on some years, but have also flopped. DJ Lagway was a sensational quarterback in high school, and I expect to see him improve vastly this season. This will be a tough one, but the Auburn and Florida games will be in front of the 12th Man, which gives me more confidence that the Ags can get it done.
The Texas Longhorns are likely going to be a team that's on playoff watch right there. It won't take long to realize if Arch Manning is the real deal, and if he is, then the Ags will have a lot on their plate. Except from the few times we've seen Manning start, along with taking over in the Georgia game, we've only seen Manning play a handful of times, and mostly running the ball.
We'll know closer to Thanksgiving weekend how things will look, but I do agree, the Lone Star Showdown will be the No. 1 important game for the Aggies.
