Power ranking the SEC after week 8: #8 - OIe Miss

The Rebels had a bye week this week after seven straight games of… well, mostly subpar competition. Even so, Kiffin’s team needed this break—they were still reeling from losing two out of their last three games.

Ole Miss will get about as soft of a landing as you could for a conference game coming out of the off week as they host Oklahoma. This Rebel defense has shown the ability to entirely stymy lower-quality offenses, so I think we see a very decisive victory here.

Their eyes are on the following week, however, when Georgia rolls into town. The Bulldogs are the toast of college football right now, and Ole Miss has known for some time that this is the game that will define their season.

Despite some early losses, it looks like it will still be defining for them. If the Rebels are able to win out, they will have a decent shot at sneaking in the playoff, despite their weak schedule thus far.
